Since June 2024, 29-year-old top chef Benedikt Arps has taken on the role of Head Chef at our First-Class Hotel EXCELSIOR and the accompanying wine restaurant, VINOTHEK.
The young chef completed his culinary training at the Ambassador Hotel & Spa in St. Peter-Ording. After his apprenticeship, he moved to North Frisia, working for two years at the AROSA Resort before spending five years at the renowned Söl’ring Hof on Sylt. Most recently, the native of Schleswig-Holstein held the position of Head Chef at a Michelin 2-star restaurant.
Our cuisine combines regional-Mediterranean lightness with carefully selected seasonal ingredients from local suppliers, characterized by freshness and an aromatic herbal note.
