About Schwabing

“Schwabing is not a place, but a state of mind,” said Fanny Countess zu Reventlow, the most famous Schwabinger of all time. Known for its bohemian artist scene and student protests, it is one of Munich’s most famous districts. Today, it is more refined. Originally a farming village, centuries later, the university and the English Garden gave the district its reputation as an artists’ quarter.
