The Schwabing Christmas market, on Münchner Freiheit, offers a festive atmosphere with over 80 stalls during Advent. Here visitors can find handicrafts and handmade gifts.
To fortify themselves, there is freshly baked tarte bread, spice cuisine from Eritrea, fried sausages and grilled meat, finely filled bread specialties, a touch of Tuscany, delicious vegan soups or fine apple fritters. Variations of mulled wine, Jagertee, Aperol Spritz.
Particularly noteworthy is the creative, artistic ambience that sets the market apart from others. There is also an extensive children's program and live music. A social Advent calendar supports local projects. The Schwabing Christmas market is the perfect place to experience the magic of Christmas in Schwabing.
The unique backdrop of Münchner Freiheit, characterized by the Church of the Redeemer in the north and the elegant Art Nouveau buildings, creates a special atmosphere for the Christmas market. The picture is complemented by the bus and tram stops at the traffic junction as well as the striking bronze sculptures by Helmut Fischer and Helmut Dietl. This mixture of historical architecture and contemporary works of art gives the market a distinctive charm and sets it apart from other Christmas markets.
