Good to know What’s especially important for your application

What really matters in your application

1. Show your motivation
Think about why you want to work in the hotel industry. What excites you about a training program in a hotel or restaurant?
Your enthusiasm and genuine interest are more important to us than a perfect résumé.

2. Get to know us
What makes Geisel Privathotels special? Which of our hotels appeal to you?
If you’ve done your research, it shows real interest – and that makes a great impression.

3. Complete application documents
Make sure your spelling, grammar, and punctuation are correct.
Too many mistakes can leave a bad impression – and in the worst case, lead to a rejection.

Send your email application as a PDF. Your application should include:

- A short, personal cover letter
- Your résumé
- Your last two school reports
- Internship or job references, if available

4. Be yourself
We’re not looking for perfect applicants – we’re looking for real personalities.
Show us who you are, what drives you, and what you want to learn.

5. A professional impression matters
Even digitally: Communicate clearly and kindly – whether via email or in conversation.
Punctuality, politeness, and respectful communication are important to us – and to our guests.

6. Internship? Absolutely!
Not sure yet if this is the right path for you? Ask about a trial day or an internship.
It’s the best way to get to know us – and for us to get to know you.

What happens next? Here’s what to expect after your application:

1. Confirmation of receipt
You'll receive a message confirming that we’ve received your application.

2. Review of your documents
Our team will carefully review your application. If your profile fits, we’ll invite you to a personal interview.

3. Interview
We’d love to get to know you: Who are you, what excites you – and what are your expectations for your training?
After the interview, we’ll give you time to reflect: Sleep on it, talk to your parents or friends – and send us a short written response the next day to let us know if you're still interested.

4. Two-day trial internship
If your feedback is positive, we’ll invite you to a two-day trial internship. This gives you a real insight into what your everyday life as a trainee would look like – and helps us see if you’re excited about the job.

5. Final decision & contract
If it’s a good fit for both sides, we’ll be happy to offer you a training position and look forward to starting this journey together!

We look forward to receiving your application.
